Store Policies

To help keep our prices low. All furniture will be ordered immediately from the manufacturer after the finalization of your sale. Unless otherwise noted on your sales copy this process will take approximately two-three weeks. Lapeer Furniture & Mattress Center must be notified within 24 hours if cancellation of the sale is necessary.

Customer Pickup and Delivery Service:

You will be notified by phone once your product is available for pickup or delivery. It is required that you schedule delivery within 72 hours. If, for whatever reason you cannot meet this time frame, your product will become available for sale and reordered only after you have contacted the store to reschedule based on product availability.

Your merchandise will be delivered on a scheduled day. Our trucks are routed by geographical area; therefore we cannot offer an exact time of delivery. We will contact you the day before your delivery to confirm your order and will give you a three hour time window. At your request, we will call a specified number approximately one hour before our expected arrival time. A second delivery fee will be accessed if there is not a responsible adult (18 or older) to accept the scheduled delivery. Delivery fees are not refundable. Delivery does not include removal of old furniture and/or rearranging of furniture. Lapeer Furniture & Mattress Ctr. will remove at no charge, on a one to one basis, your replaced bedding at the same time the new order is delivered. However our delivery personnel reserve the right to refuse this additional service if the old bedding is too soiled and posses a health risk.

In preparation for your delivery, please remove pictures, accessories, ect. from your walls to prevent damage. Please ensure that the area where you would like your furniture is free and clear of old furniture and any items that may obstruct the passage way of the delivery team. Additionally, please keep children and/or pets secure during the delivery to prevent injury. In the winter please have a pathway clear of snow and ice.

Customers picking up their purchase may do so once they have been notified by phone that their product is available. Items not picked up within seven days from notification will begin to accrue storage charges at a rate of $25 per piece per month. While we are pleased to assist you in loading your merchandise, it is your responsibility to ensure that your goods are properly loaded and secured. We cannot be responsible for any damage after leaving the premises. Please no Sunday pick ups. Your signature on the delivery/pickup copy will verify your acknowledgement of receipt in good condition.

Warranty:

Lapeer Furniture & Mattress Ctr. Strictly adheres to manufacturers’ warranties, extended manufacturers’ warranties that exceed one year will be subject to transportation and service fees.

  • Warranty is void if the merchandise is moved from the original point of delivery
  • Furniture delivered to or furniture picked up by customer and transported more than 50 miles away from the store must be returned to the store for repairs or service.
  • Customers picking up their merchandise must bring the merchandise back to the store for service or repairs. Transportation costs are not covered under the warranty. Service pick ups are subject to transportation fees.
  • Warranty does not cover defects caused by improper customer assembly, natural wear and tear, abuse, careless handling or misuse, and where repairs have been attempted by the customer.
  • Only defective merchandise, or merchandise damaged by the seller’s delivery will, at the seller’s option, be repaired or replaced; otherwise, merchandise shall not be subject to exchange or refund.
  • Mattresses- Body impression is the normal settling of all the quality upholstery materials inside your mattress and is not considered a defect.
  • Warranties do not apply to clearance items or merchandise sold “AS IS”.

Lay-A-Way Policy:

  • Time limit of 12 months from date of purchase
  • Down payment required
  • Monthly payments are required
  • Price hold guarantee
  • We cannot guarantee availability / items can be discontinued at any time.
  • Cancellation of lay-a-way will result in a store credit only / there are no cash refunds for cancelled lay-a-ways
  • No activity for a period of 60 days will result in a cancellation of the lay-a-way sale.

Cancellation Policy:

We cannot accept cancellations, changes, exchanges or refunds on furniture or accessory purchases.

Cancellation of Lay-A-Way will result in a store credit only/there are no cash refunds for cancelled Lay-A-Ways.
